Use the metal washer only.
O-rings create friction, limiting spinning. To do so, they generally should sit between the SwitchBack and the light body, usually at the edge of the SwitchBack farthest from the tailcap. Try adding an o-ring, moving the o-ring to a more proximal location, or using a thicker or bigger o-ring. Some customers find that placing electrical or similar thick tape can also be useful.
Adding the SwitchBack/LPC Clip creates a slight gap between the battery and the mechanism it powers. You can either screw the tailcap on more or install the metal washer that comes with your SwitchBack/LPC Clip. Streamlight, Nitecore, and Fenix lights are often the only lights requiring the washer. We have found that some Cloud Defensive lights require repeated efforts to tighten, wait several minutes, then tighten again; the plastic will deform a bit, allowing for an assured fit over time.
