Companion Insert Options:

Zippo® Brand inserts can be purchased at a discount with your PyroVault 2.0.* Single torch, double torch, and yellow flame butane inserts can be added using the drop-down menu above.  Add a Thyrm classic fluid Zippo lighter to your order at a discount if you want to run lighter fluid instead of butane.  All lighter inserts come empty of fuel.  California Prop 65 Warning: Exposure to fuel poses a risk for cancer or reproductive harm.

Carry a Zippo Bit Safe Lighter Insert in your Pyrovault 2.0 Lighter Armor, and be ready to fix mechanical problems in the field.Tthe Zippo Bit Safe holds 4 bits and acts as a screwdriver rather than holding a flint and fuel.  Bits included are: #1 Phillips, #2 Phillips, #2 Flat, and T20 Torx heads.  The insert is compatible with standard ¼ inch bits so you can use your own bits to customize the insert.  The Bit Safe Lighter Insert does not act a lighter – it is a tool instead.

The PyroVault 2.0 does not come with an insert, unless you choose to add an insert to your order.

The PyroVault 2.0 housing accepts a wider range of lighter inserts than the original PyroVault.

• Compatible: Zippo Single Torch, Double Torch, and Yellow Flame Butane lighters are all compatible with the PyroVault 2.0, and as an authorized Zippo dealer, we offer them at a discount* with the purchase of your PyroVault 2.0 Lighter Armor.  The Thyrm Zippo Classic Lighter, custom made with the Thyrm logo on a custom black steel case is also compatible and offered here; just pop the classic Zippo insert out of that steel case to use it in the PyroVault 2.0.  The Zippo Bit Safe Lighter Insert is also compatible, holding bits as a screwdriver, rather than being a lighter.
• Compatible: Z-plus Butane Extreme Torch 2.0, Thunderbird Single Torch Flame, Thunderbird Vector, Blazer Top-Z Dual Flame Butane, Blazer Top-Z Dual Torch, Power Practical Sparkr Insert for Zippo Lighters, Zippo Electric Rechargeable, and Zippo Pipe Inserts are also compatible.
• Not Compatible: a few butane, non-torch inserts use a spring-loaded cam to open the fuel valve. Because the PyroVault uses its own high strength opening springs instead, these inserts are not compatible.

Pyrovault 2.0 & Thyrm Zippo Classic Lighters are made in the USA.  Zippo butane inserts and Bit Safe Inserts are imported.

 

The Pyrovault’s gasket seal provides a high level of protection from water, dust, and dirt. However, it is not dive-rated or suitable for prolonged, deep submersion.

* Zippo Inserts and Discounts:  A discount is applied on Zippo Insert-PyroVault sets.  Therefore, additional coupons do not apply to these combinations.
